SBS Entertainment News/Kang Kyungyoon journalist (t/n: btw this is the journalist who exposed Seungri and BS)
It has been confirmed that casting director Mr. Jo, who filed a lawsuit against actor Park Eunseok of' Penthouse', has had various disputes with various actors since long ago.
Jo said, "In the KakaoTalk group chat room where actors are gathered, Park Eunseok damaged my honor by posting a false article stating that 'A person who claims to be a casting director has been calling actors for a drink, but you have to be extra careful about him (Jo).'" In December, a civil suit was filed with the Seoul Northern District Court.
Jo argued, "Park Eunseok's agency admitted to his wrongdoing and revealed they were willing to settle, he spent months making excuses for appearing in the drama "Penthouse" and didn't apologize or compensate for what he did once." In response, Park Eunseok's management agency has recently revealed their firm position that "we will appoint a lawyer to respond formally."
It was confirmed that Park Eunseok was not the first to legally quarrel with Jo. He also quarreled with other rookie actors, broadcasters, and aspiring actors, etc.
Jo sued A, a rookie female actress who was active in dramas and movies last year, for the same reason, she has apparently spread false information about him in a Kakaotalk room. In October 2020, he even went to A's house to make a fuss about it.
In addition, the person who sued Kim Hoyoung, a musical actor in 2019, for sexually harassing him in a vehicle, was also confirmed to be Jo. In this case, which became a hot topic through several articles, the prosecution cleared Kim Hoyoung from all his charges. Then, Kim Hoyoung sued Jo for false accusations, threats, defamation, and other charges, which were also cleared of charges.
It has been confirmed that, back in 2012, Jo was sentenced for jail after having a dispute with B, a woman who began to gain popularity at the time. Announcer B asked for an agreement that he had inflicted damage by "destroying" the wedding pictorial contract he proposed. At that time, Jo threatened her with a text messages saying that he had been assaulted by B, and informed her of his unilateral position through a media interview. In the end, however, he was sentenced to 10 months in prison for defamation against B for filing a complaint containing false facts.
Prior to this, in 2011, Jo approached a 16-year-old middle school girl by proposing her to become an entertainer/celebrity and was accused of continuous sexual assault, and was sentenced to imprisonment in the first and second trials, but was finally acquitted by the Supreme Court. Since then, he filed a civil and criminal lawsuit against the girl for false accusations, but the court decided that the 'false accusations' were not established, and this was the 'Eunbyul Case' broadcasted by SBS 'I Want to Know' in 2015.
Jo did not respond to SBS Entertainment News' request for confirmation of the facts regarding various legal disputes with the actors and other people aside from Park Eunseok's.
However, Jo said, "I submitted enough (proofs) to the court as a casting director, and the other person who processed/translated(?) Park Eunseok's post clearly recognized that they spread false information and was fined 2 million won." He added "In the case of biased broadcasting and identity reveals, we will proceed with civil and criminal lawsuits against individual reporters.”
