Upcoming SBS drama “The King: Eternal Monarch” has released new stills of Lee Min Ho and Jung Eun Chae.
The drama, starring Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun, tells the story of two parallel worlds, one in which Korea is a constitutional monarchy ruled by emperor Lee Gon (Lee Min Ho), and one similar to present-day Korea, where Jung Tae Eul (played by Kim Go Eun) is a detective. In the new stills, emperor Lee Gon has a tense interaction with Ku Seo Ryeong (played by Jung Eun Chae), the youngest-ever and first female prime minister of Korea. Ku Seo Ryung leans in close to the emperor to say something, and Lee Gon, with a slight smile on his face, mirrors her action, leaning in to respond. As he pulls back, Ku Seo Ryeong shoots him a glare.
A source from Hwa&Dam Pictures said, “The emperor and prime minister of Korea played by Lee Min Ho and Jung Eun Chae are two people who have no choice but to coexist. Please tune in to see Lee Min Ho’s and Jung Eun Chae’s acting transformations as well as a new type of chemistry as they play the emperor and prime minister.”
“The King: Eternal Monarch” premieres April 17.
