Article: Melon, out of service for two days due to BTS comeback... complaints abound, especially with price increase

Source: TV Report via Naver

1. [+1,338, -20] Their servers were down not only yesterday, the day of the comeback, but today too, which means it's not really BTS. They're just using BTS as an excuse, no? I think it's their own server issues. They raised membership prices and made money so they should invest that on the maintenance of their servers.

2. [+847, -45] Don't hate on BTS and the Armies for this, hate on Melon's weak server

3. [+499, -6] Melon has the audacity to raise prices but not maintain their servers? Should've prepared for this in the first place.

4. [+329, -9] Won't be using them anymore. They're unnecessarily expensive anyway.

5. [+65, -9] How did Melon not expect their servers to be overloaded with the BTS comeback? ㅋㅋㅋ 'V App' prepared by expanding their servers four times for the comeback and managed to hold 9 million people. There's no way Melon didn't know that BTS was having their comeback yesterday. What were they thinking by not preparing for it?

6. [+45, -5] 'V App' already prepared their servers for the 9 million that logged and fans were able to watch live with no problems at all. Melon didn't even have to prep for that many users and they still crashed which means they didn't prepare at all. They crashed last time too. How can you blame the fans for this when all they did was wait for their artists to release their music? Please direct your criticism towards the people deserving of it.

7. [+35, -1] It makes no sense that the biggest music streaming service in Korea is down for two days simply because of BTS. I can understand blaming BTS yesterday but what about today? ㅋㅋㅋ Better off switching to Genie or YouTube Red.

8. [+30, -2] Don't blame BTS for lining up the charts. Busker Busker lined up the charts too. It's Melon's fault for not preparing for this, don't blame the BTS fans. We're all the same consumers paying the same price for Melon's service.
