The estimated Korean:Global votes in Girls Planet 999 Final Episode

Loading...

Since the result of the final episode became the talk of the town because it was very unexpected, I roughly calculated the number of votes each trainee received based on the information that was published by Girls Planet 999. It's just an estimation and speculation, so I hope you won't take this too seriously. Just like what I said, this is only an 'estimation'.

You can see the points and votes each trainee received in the picture above.
However, the number of votes they got each from Korea and Global was not disclosed.

In Girls Planet 999, weights were applied to differentiate the value of one vote between the Korean and global votes. The total votes resulted from 50% Korean votes and 50% Global votes, which means 1 vote from Korea is worth more than from Global. In order to calculate the total votes, we need to measure the weight first.

Below is the information from the 3rd elimination. If you calculate the votes from each region and the final votes, you can see that the Korean votes weigh 10 more.

Judging from this, you can see that the rule of 50% Korean votes + 50% Global votes only applies when the weight of x10 is applied to the Korean votes. This might've been applied during the live voting because of the small number of Korean votes during the live show.

Fortunately, the votes of the trainees during the final episode were disclosed so I could roughly calculate them. All the points added were 11,386,572 and the votes added were 5,587,478. Assume the weight of the Korean votes is 11.20 and the Global votes is 1.12.

Based on that formula, this is the estimation of the votes each trainee received.

If we sort them based on their Korean votes:

If we sort them based on their Global votes:

Those who got in Top9 in both Korean and Global votes sorting are the ones who are absolutely debut. Below, I highlight their names in Yellow.

From this table, you can conclude:
1. Kim Chaehyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Choi Yujin, Seo Youngeung, and Ezaki Hikaru will absolutely debut regardless of the weight of the Korean and Global votes.
2. If the voting was only held in Korea, Ezaki Hikaru would be the only foreigner in the final lineup.
3. If only Korean votes count, Kim Sooyeon and Guinn Myah would get to debut while Sakamoto Mashiro and Shen Xiatoing would not.
4. If only Global votes count, Su Rui Qi and Fu Yaning would get to debut while Kim Dayeon and Kang Yeseo would not.

Regardless of all the talk, congratulations to all the trainees who made it to the final lineup and get to debut as Kep1er. I also wish all the eliminated trainees good luck, I hope to see you guys performing on stage through another great opportunity.

-Do you major in statistics?? You're so smartㅋㅋㅋㅋ

-Seems like Myah didn't receive many Global votes. What a shameㅠㅠ

-Oh Gosh... Bahiyyih is really popular among international fans...

-Great job, OP!ㅎㅎ Thank you so much for this post

-Guinn Myah ranked quite high according to the Korean votes...

-How did you manage to get all of these calculations...

-Guinn Myahㅠㅠㅠㅠ I can't believe she didn't make it to the final lineupㅠㅠㅠ

-The lineup is quite nice because there are more Korean trainees than I had expected.

-Bahiyyih received a lot of votes from Korean as well...

-I knew that Chaehyun, Dayeon, and Yujin would get a lot of Korean votes...

-Is that Choi Yujin the same person as that adorable girl from CLC?

-It's such a pity that Guinn Myah didn't make it... She's very adorable and charming, not to mention that she's also talented.

-Bahiyyih got a lot of votes both from Korea and Global. I don't understand why people are hating on her.
