At firs, I didn't really know what the difference was, but now that I saw SWF dancer VS Lee Chaeyeon, I can understand what the fuss was about

No matter how well idols dance, I always feel like they try to dance looking pretty, meanwhile dancers will dance while prioritizing the movements. I feel like the intention behind them dancing is different

I felt like like idols dance to make themselves stand out, whereas dancers dance to make the dance stand out... But after watching SWF, I feel like dancers are able to both make themselves stand out and the dance stand out at the same time... Of course, dancers are standing behind the spotlight on stage, so you can clearly the idols on stage. But now that they're putting the dancer in the center, you can see nothing but them

That's my opinion, but I feel like Lee Chaeyeon will ruin herself by going on this show. Her dancing used to be her biggest strength and charm, but now that she's on the show, you can only see the weakness in her dancing. She used to be considered the one top in dancing, but now it's becoming ambiguous... I feel bad for her

Idols are definitely different, your eyes get drawn naturally to the dancer

It's the same as theater and movies. you can see in musical plays that they need their voices and movements to be big and they need overreactions. Meanwhile, movies and dramas are all about the shot. They need to come out as prettily as possible in the shot, so they cut down on the expressions and movements, you're supposed to act as subtly as possible, it's built completely differently... Chaeyeon is perfect as an idol, but now that she's on a program built for dancers, it can't be helped that people are seeing her differently
