Time Ep. 5, 00:48:50

Suho: (points towards the railing) I'll die with you

Jihyun: (from the railing of the hotel) Let's just go down first

Suho stumbled and fell over the railing. Jihyun ran towards Suho as that happened.

Jihyun: It's dangerous!!

Both of them fell over the railing. The scene switched. Suho and Jihyun fell on the ground 'separately'

Was it a falling scene or a mellow scene? At first, the scriptwriters intended this scene to be the start of the 'mellow' of this drama. However, the director changed it all up.

Below is the original script of 'Time'

Jihyun: Let's just go down first. It's dangerous!

Suho stumbled, and as he fell over the railing Jihyun ran towards him and hugged him. Both of them fell over the railing and fell to the ground as Jihyun was hugging Suho.

According to the script, <Kim Junghyun and Seohyun were supposed to be hugging when they fell to the ground>. However in the final scene, <Kim Junghyun and Seohyun fell separately>

This is all because of Kim Junghyun. He didn't want to film any mellow scenes. However, he was really faithful to the mellow drama he's starring in real life, with Seo Yeji as the female main character.

"A man doesn't have much time left to live gives everything he has to help a woman whose life is ruined because of him. As time passes by, his feelings towards her start to grow until the point it becomes uncontrollable. The man then struggles to love her and reveal the truth"

This drama was supposed to be about revenge and mellow. However, it ended up being just about the revenge. Moreover, Kim Junghyun left the drama in the 12th episode.

Kim Junghyun ruined this drama by 'maintaining a distance'. He personally changed the mellow scenes that was written on the script. For example, he refused to hold Seohyun's hands.

Ep 5, 00:54:38. The 'Bandage' scene.

Jihyun: (hands out a bandage) Put this on before it leaves scars

Suho: Don't bring me stuffs like this. I have a lot more of this than you do.

Suho: I mean... I'm thankful that you personally made this and gave it to me. I just don't know if I deserve this.

Jihyun: No. I'm really grateful.

Kim Junghyun refused to do the romantic scene. What is supposed to happen according to the original script?

Jihyun: Put this on before it leaves scars

Suho: (stares at Jihyun) Are you really grateful?

Jihyun: I'm sorry?

Suho: You should show your sincerity if you're really grateful. Saying thank you isn't enough.

Suho: (Extends his hand, lean forwards) Show me you really mean it

Jihyun: (Stares at Suho without saying anything then proceeds to apply ointment on Suho's hands and forehead, and then she blows on it)

Kim Junghyun is the male main character in the drama 'Time'. He was supposed to act in this mellow-genre drama. However, he avoided doing any physical contact. He requested to change the script because he was too 'immersed'(?) in his character. He also uses the excuse of having an eating disorder. The production team couldn't do anything else besides accepting his request.

Dispatch acquired the original script of the drama and compared it to the final scenes. From Episode 5 to 12, there are in total 13 romance scenes that disappeared. It was written on the scripts, but not in the final scenes.

Why did he refuse to do physical contact? It's because he was 'directed' by someone else. Not Director Jang from the drama 'Time', but Director Seo Yeji from reality. Kim Junghyun acted according to Seo Yeji's request.

"No physical contact"

Three years ago, Dispatch got a piece of information about Kim Junghyun. Dispatch also acquired some conversation that Kim Junghyun and Seo Yeji had. Recently, Kim Junghyun became an issue again. The issue was verified through different sources. It was confirmed to be true.

Seo Yeji: Mr. Kim Stiff, leave out all the physical contacts

Kim Junghyun: Of course

Seo Yeji: Are you not going to tell me about what happened today?

Kim Junghyun: I didn't greet any of the women staff today. I was also really stiff to the others.

Kim Junghyun: I also told Director Jang (Junho) that I am not doing any romantic scenes

Seo Yeji: ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Okay. Keep up that behavior.

Kim Junghyun: The script of the 9th episode is already out. I think there's a lot to edit.

Seo Yeji: Good luck with that.

Seo Yeji instructed Kim Junghyun to leave out all the physical contact, and Kim Junghyun fulfilled it. As the result, the 9th episode only ended with a drunk scene in the hall. Seohyun pitifully only repeated one dialogue, which is 'Get up'

Jihyun: So you're telling me you're marrying Eun Chae Ah?

Suho: What should I do then? There's no other way. So annoying~ C

Jihyun: Get up

Suho: Whatever. (Signing with his hand) Just go.

Jihyun: (As she stands still) I said get up

There's this thing called common knowledge. When someone falls on his feet, the other person doesn't only tell him to 'get up' but also reaches him, shakes him, and helps him to get up.

According to the original script, (1) Seohyun was supposed to help Kim Junghyun to get back on his feet, (2) brings him back inside, (3) lays him down on the couch. However, Kim Junghyun refused to do any of these scenes that required physical contact.

How could this situation be explained? You can see it from the conversation that took time during the filming of the drama's teaser (June 2018)

Kim Junghyun: You're the only one who can touch my hands

Seo Yeji: You have to be stiff, no matter what. Change everything. No physical contacts.

Kim Junghyun: Of course. Kim Stiff!

Seo Yeji: Are you keeping up with your behavior?

Kim Junghyun: Of course. The director of the teaser is a woman, I'm really stiff towards her.

Kim Junghyun: I made no eye contact with any women here.

Seo Yeji: Change the script so you don't have any romantic scenes or physical contacts.

Kim Junghyun: It's Seo Joohyun's turn to film right now, so I'm currently having a conversation with the men.

Kim Junghyun: I just asked Director Jang (Junho) to remove all the mellow, romantic scenes. I gave him a very logical reason.

Actors are supposed to act in dramas. However, Kim Junghyun continued to act even outside the drama.

(Crew 1) "He kept requesting to change the script. He said that love is very important for his mental, so he asked to leave out the scenes that required physical contact. If something doesn't happen according to his wish, he would leave the set right away"

How did Kim Junghyun get away with his 'sick' cosplay. At first, the production team was worried about him. But then they started to become suspicious. Kim Junghyun was always seen with his phone, he would never leave his phone even for a moment.

Kim Junghyun even recorded the filming set and report it to Seo Yeji

Seo Yeji: How did you greet the women staffs?

Kim Junghyun: (sends a video of the filming set) I didn't greet them at all

Seo Yeji: That's right, you don't greet them

Seo Yeji: If they greet you, answer them stiffly

Seo Yeji frequently requests Kim Junghyun to send videos or voice notes from the filming set. Kim Junghyun would fulfill her request by filming his surrounding secretly, mostly with the camera lens facing the floor.

Seo Yeji: I'm not in a good mood. Film your surrounding and send it to me right now.

Kim Junghyun: (sends a video of his surrounding)

Seo Yeji: That's not the filming set?

Kim Junghyun: Inside the filming set, we're filming in a studio

Kim Junghyun was busy playing 2 different characters all at once. He would request for a change as soon as he receives the script, and then reported it to Seo Yeji. He refused to do any physical contact in the drama, but in real life he was crazy in love.

Kim Junghyun: I'm only looking at the scripts, I'm not doing anything else

Seo Yeji: Change it up so there are no romantic scenes

Seo Yeji: I'm doing this for your happiness.

Kim Junghyun: I'm going to read the scripts

Seo Yeji: Okay, make sure you change it. No physical contacts or romantic scenes.

Kim Junghyun: Of course

'Time' was supposed to be a drama about revenge and mellow. It was written in the synopsis, 'Love'

Love! There's no time!
The happiest 'Time' of my life

On April 2018, Kim Junghyun's agency informed that he was working in a new drama with head line <Kim Junghyun, tries out mellow-genre through the drama 'Time>
Kim Junghyun was so cruel throughout Episode 5 to 12. Out of all 13 scenes that required physical contact that, he did none of it. Below is the original script of the scene in episode 6 where he struggled with pain because of a brain tumor.

Suho: (Stumbles as he tries to get up because everything goes dark)

Jihyun: (Shocked, gets up to help Suho) What is wrong?

Suho: (Leans his head on Jihyun's shoulder) Wait a minute

Jihyun: Are you okay?

Suho: (Continues to lean his head and stays still because Jihyun's shoulders are warm)

How did Kim Junghyun bring that scene to life? In the final scene, he didn't lean on Jihyun's shoulder at all. All he did was to vomit over the railing of the rooftop. That's all.

Suho: (Gets up and suddenly runs towards the railing)

Suho: (Vomits)

Kim Junghyun totally ignores Seohyun.

According to the original script, Kim Junghyun was supposed to put on a watch on Seohyun's wrist in Episode 6. He was also supposed to remove a flower petal from Seohyun's head and help her to get back on her feet when she falls in Episode 7. He was also supposed to hand over shopping bags and hold the dress so that it would stay in shape in Episode10.

But there were a lot of changes seen in the final scenes. Instead, he put the watch on the table, dropped the shopping bags on the ground. He was about to hold her hand, but instead he clenched his fist. And when Seohyun fell, he wasn't even seen in the scene.

This was the first drama in Korean history with the 'Virgin Road', main characters remaining a distance. The wedding scenes happened without any holding hands.

Then Kim Junghyun decided to leave the drama. Script-writer Choi Hocheol had to edit the whole scripts. It ended with Suho drowning in the sea as he tried to save Jihyun.

(Production Team 1) "They filmed separately. When we filmed Seohyun, Kim Junghyun wasn't there. We had to cover up Kim Junghyun's face so that Seohyun could get immersed in her character. Kim Junghyun would look away. We were very taken aback at that time"

(Crew 2) "Script-writer Choi Hocheol was sick in the middle of filming the drama, he suffered from appendicitis and enteritis. He worked with a bag of blood beside him. We all risked our life for this"

(Production Team 2) "That shouldn't have happened during the press conference. Seohyun tried to get immersed into her character and he interrupted her. She suffered a lot mentally. She cried a lot"

(Production Team 3) "The stunt team was very raged as well. There was this scene where Seohyun was about to get hit by a car and Kim Junghyun was supposed to block the car with his hand, he commented 'It's not like I'm Iron Man'"

Once again, actors are supposed to only act in dramas. However, Kim Junghyun was filming his own mellow-genre drama in real life. He was not considerate towards his work colleagues, rude to the staffs, and betrayed the expectations viewers had towards him. All just so that he could be Seo Yeji's man.

After that, he went on a 11-months long hiatus and made his comeback with 'Crash Landing on You'. Right now, he's having an issue with Culture Depot, a company that writer Park Jieun, actresses Jeon Jihyun, Seo Jihye, etc are under.
