Article: BTS setting new records, but what about army enlistments "It's worth as much as an Olympic medal", "No exceptions"

1. [+2,628, -537] Exempt them from the army and just have them donate some money. They're really getting Korea out there, even in the Arab world.

2. [+2,105, -188] We live in a country where someone who wins first place at a piano concert can earn an exemption but BTS can't when they put Korea on the map. I really don't know with these standards~~ BTS has made artistic achievements and brought prestige to our country, they're sons of our own country, what a shame~

3. [+1,685, -405] I served in the army myself and I truly think their achievements exceed the worth of any gold medal. They need to be exempt from the army...

4. [+1,565, -567] All that money BTS made goes in their own pockets, they need to serve

5. [+720, -309] My vote goes to an exemption

6. [+194, -21] I agree with the arguments... There's already a standard that even winning at a piano concert (I'm not trying to put down the profession) can grant you an exemption so if BTS doesn't get one just because they're singers, the standard simply isn't fair anymore.

7. [+215, -48] My father served 40 months, I served 5 years 6 months, my oldest son served 22 months, my second son served 21 months, and my maknae is going to be commissioned as an air force officer... The conclusion our family settled on => an achievement of this level is on par with an Olympic gold medal so an "exemption is possible"

8. [+188, -39] Honestly speaking, BTS' achievements are worth more than 1,000 Olympic gold medals!!

9. [+137, -4] Just have them serve three months on the Jeju defense force

10. [+133, -11] They have fulfilled all of the standard requirements~ They have achieved more than any diplomats~
