Article: Cafes show mass infection rates... "what we feared has come"

Source: Korea Econ via Nate

1. [+149, -1] I'm surprised that the infections are only happening now ㅋㅋㅋ it made no sense to wear masks outside but take them off inside ㅋㅋㅋ

2. [+133, -4] I think we've been lucky all this time. Restaurants, bars, and cafes are way more dangerous than group gatherings like churches. You're all sitting side by side without masks on since you need to eat and drink, and plus everyone's talking. Businesses just kept hush hush for the sake of their incomes but now we're seeing the results of it.

3. [+109, -2] Yeah, I did think it was weird... cafes, restaurants, and bars are way more dangerous than buses or subways. It's not like you can keep your mask on while you eat and drink.

4. [+10, -2] Restaurants, cafes, gyms, sports centers, karaokes, clubs, PC bangs, all places of gatherings are so dangerous. Then you have schools, hospitals, work, apartment elevators... not one place I feel like I can be safe in. Until there's a vaccine, I'm so scared for my family ㅠㅠ

5. [+7, -0] I really did think it was weird, especially when the infection rate was really bad at first but people were still taking their masks off in cafes. I would keep getting text alarms but still see so many people around cafes. Honestly, restaurants aren't safe either. I know you have to take your mask off to eat but it's weird that people think these restaurants and cafes are some sort of safe haven.

1. [+345, -3] Starbucks has been bursting with customers for days on end...

2. [+126, -3] What's the point of taking temperatures, signing in with QR codes, and having students wear masks in schools ㅋㅋㅋㅋ when everyone's got their mouths open in cafes

3. [+129, -17] Just change it so orders can only be taken to go

4. [+76, -15] With schools already open, what's a few cafes

5. [+51, -3] So easy for this to spread anywhere you're drinking. People are already filling up cafes without masks since they need to drink. I think we need to be more careful.

6. [+21, -1] Here's a tip >> don't let in groups. Only take in single parties so that they can just sip their drinks and leave without talking to anyone. The biggest problem with the cafes is that everyone is talking to other people in them.

7. [+11, -1] Clubs are worse but the media is staying hush about it

8. [+10, -0] It's weird that it's starting to spread in cafes so late. You'd think that they'd be the first.
