CNBLUE's Jung Yong Hwa is in trouble. It was revealed that the popular idol star has cheated his way into Kyunghee University’s graduate school, and he is receiving a lot of public criticism even though FNC Entertainment, home to the male star explained that he didn't have any intention of cheating his way into his PhD.
By the way, you know, Jung Yong Hwa has planned to hold his solo concert "2018 JUNG YONG HWA LIVE [ROOM 622] IN SEOUL" from January 20-21. Some people raised the possibility that he will cancel the concert due to the controversy over his entrance into Kyunghee University’s graduate school, but as a result, he decided not to cancel the concert.
Instead, FNC Entertainment decided not to open the concert to the press. When k-pop idols hold their concerts, their agencies usually invite reporters. The reporters who are invited to the concerts write favorite articles about the idols and concerts, of course. The idols sometimes hold press conferences just before kicking off their concerts too. Actually, FNC has sent invitation emails to various reporters days ago. But, on January 17, FNC sent emails to reporters again, stating "We decided not to open the concert owing to unavoidable circumstances".
Think about it. Jung Yong Hwa is in trouble now, and if FNC invites reporters, the reporters will only write articles about what he will state about the controversy, instead of writing articles about the concert.
Of course, reporters can enter the concert hall personally, if they can obtain tickets. But, it will be never easy to obtain the popular idol star's concert ticket.
