In the morning on June 29, BIGBANG TOP's trial was held at the Seoul Central District Court. You know, he has been charged with smoking marijuana. The idol star, who has been rushed to the emergency room due to a drug overdose looked healthy, but he had a distressed look on his face. Before entering the courtroom, he read a written apology in front of crowds of reporters. He was with three lawyers.

I apologize to all the people who were hurt and disappointed because of me. I was stupid. I suffered from mental depression and sleep disorders for a long time, and my unstable mental state made me make a big mistake. I made a mistake on the spur of the moment. I know I disappointed so many people. I'm ashamed of myself. This will never happen again, and I will gladly accept any punishment. And I want to say sorry to my mother.

At the trial, TOP's lawyer said "When he was in a very stressful and anxious state due to his mental depression and worries about enlistment, he met a female trainee. After drinking a lot, she suggested him to smoke marijuana and he did it on the spur of the moment. But, he quit smoking marijuana after breaking up with her. I entreat you for leniency".

As a result, TOP was given a 10-month jail sentence suspended for two years. And the prosecution also imposed him to pay 12,000 won in restitution for his crime.

At the end of the trial, TOP stood up and gave his final statement.

I've been receiving treatment for mental depression and anxiety disorders for many years. Because of my unstable mental state and wrong idea, I made a huge mistake. Everything happened just for a week. The week is the worst moment of my life. I regret bitterly. This will never happen again, and I'm ashamed of myself. I will gladly accept any punishment.
